Guardians of the Night Skies: Tāhuna Glenorchy Dark Sky Sanctuary and Love Queenstown Impact Story

At the head of Lake Whakatipu, the night sky shines bright. On clear evenings, the milky way stretches overhead, planets glow above the peaks, and darkness becomes something to celebrate. Tāhuna-Glenorchy Dark Skies and Southern Lakes Sanctuary are combining efforts to protect the night sky and the species that rely on it – including some of Aotearoa’s most elusive nocturnal species.
