Join us this spring at a special planting event based at our community hub - Jean Malpas Nursery.
This season we will be hosting a community planting event to add 1500 bird loving native trees to our keystone planting site at Jardine Park. A stand of wilding conifer trees was recently removed from this site and we have the ambitious plan to plant 4500 natives here over the spring planting season. This will re-establish much needed shelter for the nursery as well as adding a wonderful new area of native habitat.
New to tree planting? Our friendly team will show you the ropes, making it a fun and enjoyable experience for all. Plus, all holes will be pre-dug and our job is just to get native seedlings into their forever homes.
Delicious morning tea will be provided by our friends at Hilton Queenstown Resort and Spa and after our hard work planting is all finished well celebrate with a BBQ lunch at the nursery.
This is a drop-in style event, starting from 9 am onwards. Bring your family and friends and together lets transform this area.
