Community Planting Day Whitechapel Reserve, Arrowtown

Join us on Saturday September 12th at beautiful Whitechapel Reserve near Arrowtown. With over 27,000 native plants planted by community volunteers over the last 15 years, this restoration site is truly flourishing!

This season we will be starting in a new planting block that includes rocky outcrops, which are home to native skinks and geckos, so we're looking forward to getting some lizard friendly plants in the ground and building a thriving habitat.

The hard work of digging holes will already be done and the job on the day will be to get native plants into their forever homes.
As is tradition, we will have a yummy morning tea part way through the morning provided by our friends from the Hilton hotel.
